Wooden "swing type" covered escutcheon to match our Broughtons wooden knobs. Finish is ebonized (Blackened) over a hardwood. The base-plate is made from solid brass and is polished and left unlacquered just as it would been all those years ago. It will therefore mellow over time of course.
