These chunky letter are finished in an unlacquered polished brass. Therefore to retain the bright polished look they will need regular attention with metal polish. Alternatively, if you prefer the item to "age" it will develop a lovely dark patina with time. Always use a pilot drill and rub screws with candle wax before fitting.
